We do not have a written warranty but we will replace any defective parts at no charge.
With minimal maintenance it should last a long time. We have customers who are still using blynds that they purchased in 1980 which was the first year we manufactured them.
There is a UV stabilizer in the plastic to prevent weather deterioration. The material itself is rated to withstand a temperature range of -60 to +150 degrees farenheit.
If you are in a part of the country where you have ice or snow conditions, it is possible that your windows could freeze in the aluminum track. We recommend keeping some anti-freeze handy in order to melt the ice. You can also drill some small drain holes in the window track to allow water to seep and not stay in the track and freeze.
As of 2003, we have an optional window conversion kit that allows you to install a new set of windows on the inside of the blynd. More information and pricing can be found in our brochure or on this website.
No... there are small openings around the door and windows that yellow jackets and other insects can enter through.
In order to prevent it from collapsing, a temporary "T" brace made out of 2X2's or similar should work on the 4X4 single blynd. You want to be able to wedge it in place from the floor to the roof.
The 4X8 double wide will need 2 supports on the inside. There is a metal roof support in the middle. The temporary supports should be placed halfway between the metal roof support and the end walls.
Yes but the paint pigment will not penetrate the plastic. If you do decide to "Camo" the blynd you will have to re-do it.
Can I use it as a ground blind?
Yes. You need to keep it off the ground to allow air under the floor to prevent it from rotting and you need to tie it down. If you use wood posts, railroad ties or even a wood pallet, you can lag polt the blynd to any of these to keep it from blowing over.
The Blynd is designed primarily for use with a rifle. You can probably use a cross bow. We have some customers who have left one of the wall panels off and hung a camo curtain in its place in order to bow hunt out of it.
With our new door system you can lock the blynd. If you purchased a blynd prior to 2003, you can get a door conversion kit to change from the double door system to a single, lockable one. The double door system requires some modification in order to lock it. One option is to screw the doors shut to keep "unwanted guests" out.
No. We provide a " plywood floor. In order to extend the life of the floor we recommend that you paint it or waterseal it prior to assembly.
If you have a cordless drill motor, a phillips head screw bit and a helper, you can assemble the 4X4 Blynd in 45 to 60 minutes. The 4x8 will probably take about 1 hour.
The towers will vary in assembly time depending on the height and model.
The towers are made of emt conduit. The legs are 1 " in diameter and the cross bracing is 1" in diameter. We have put a thousand lbs. on top of a 10' tower and it held the weight without any problems.
The blynd and towers have to go by common carrier as the boxes and bundles are too large to ship on UPS. The cost is based on the total weight and destination.
In order to quote you a freight cost, we need what items you want to purchase and the zip code it will be shipped to. It is best to have a business address to ship to instead of a residence. If your only option is a residence you have to be there to sign for it. There is also an additional charge for home delivery.
We have negotiated discounts with numerous freight carriers. When we quote you a freight cost, that number is exactly what the carrier qute is to us. We do not add any additional fees to the freight cost.
Yes but it may cost you more money. Most freight cariers charge a residential delivery fee. You also have to sign the freight bill upon receipt. The freight carrier will not leave it like UPS does.
If at all possible, have it delivered to a business. Make sure you inspect the product for damages and if necessary refuse the shipment. Call us if you have any problems with delivery and will help correct it.
Once it leaves our building we are all at the mercy of the carrier.
Yes. We can provide you with any component that you need.
99% of the time you can reassemble the blynd. Typically it will pop at the seams where it is screwed together. Using the screws and clips.
Just pick a spot near the original hole and screw it back together.
If you end up with a tear in the plastic, you can use some silicone to patch it.
If the roof or panels get twisted as a result of the fall, most of the time they will return to their original shape after they have been exposed to the sun and warm weather.
All of our dealers are independent retailers who set their own prices.
They also have to cover their shipping and any other expenses they incur related to the Blynd. If you have never seen one of our Blynds and there is a dealer close to you, the ability to see one on display and the convenience of being able to pick it up will most likely offset the price difference.
Plastic Vacuum Forming and our sales reps set up all dealer locations. You need to have a commercial store front business and sales tax ID number.

One of the most important things to do is to secure your Blynd with a tie down system. Our Blynds are lightweight and will blow over if they are not properly secured.
If you have a 4X8 Blynd, face the narrow side in the direction of the prevailing wind. This will reduce the odds of the blynd blowing over if you're tie-down gets loose.
To extend the life of the floor, paint it with oil based exterior paint or a water seal product prior to assembly.
Our windows slide in outside aluminum track. In very windy conditions, the windows have a tendancy to "walk" in the track and may blow out. You can do several things to prevent this from happening.
- From the inside of the Blynd and with the windows closed, drill a small hole on each side of the window opening and then insert a 16 penney nail in each hole for stops.
- If you purchased your Blynd in 2000, you can use the off season window inserts that came with it. If you bought your Blynd prior to the year 2000, you can purchase off-season inserts for $5.00 each.
- As of 2003, there is an optional window kit available that allows you to install hinged windows on the inside of the blynd.
If you have a yellow jacket or wasp problem each year put seven dust under your carpet (owner provided) and hang a No Pest Fly Strip inside the Blynd.
